Der Rua Reidh Lighthouse (Rubha Reidh) steht an der Einfahrt zum Loch Ewe in Wester Ross, Schottland. Er wurde 1908–1912 von David Alan Stevenson erbaut, einem Cousin des Schriftstellers Robert Louis Stevenson und Mitglied der berühmten "Lighthouse Stevensons"-Familie. Der Leuchtturm wurde 1986 automatisiert.

Die Müngstener Brücke ist Deutschlands höchste Eisenbahnbrücke. Sie wurde 1897 fertiggestellt und überspannt das Tal der Wupper zwischen Solingen und Remscheid. Die beeindruckende Stahlkonstruktion ist etwa 107 Meter hoch und ein bekanntes Wahrzeichen der Region.

The Müngsten Bridge is Germany’s highest railway bridge. It was completed in 1897 and spans the Wupper Valley between Solingen and Remscheid. The impressive steel structure is about 107 metres high and is a famous landmark of the region.

Ein hochformatiges Foto zeigt einen hellgrauen Hydranten mit einem leuchtend roten Deckel, der zentral im Vordergrund platziert ist. Der Hydrant ist leicht verwittert und weist an seiner Basis und am oberen Teil leichte Abnutzungsspuren auf. Er steht vor einer dunkelgrünen, dicht gewachsenen Hecke, die sich horizontal über die gesamte Bildbreite erstreckt. Links im Vordergrund ist der unscharfe, ornamentale Rand eines steinernen Objekts zu erkennen. Rechts im Hintergrund ragt ein heller, astloser Baumstamm empor, dessen obere Äste sich als feine, dunkle Linien vor einem noch dunkleren Hintergrund abzeichnen. Der Boden ist mit kleinen, hellen Kieseln bedeckt, die eine feine Textur bilden. Die gesamte Szene, abgesehen vom roten Deckel des Hydranten, ist in Graustufen gehalten, was den roten Farbakzent stark hervorhebt.

Last weekend I was at the Pacific Science Center to listen to a friend do a set during Modular on the Spot, an event by the Modular Seattle community.  And, since the performances were happening at sunset I was able to catch the Pacific Science Center arches during blue hour.

With the light changing rapidly, I moved around shooting from different angles, looking for more abstract compositions.  I'm pretty happy with the results.  😃

Gear: Nikon Z 7II, Nikon Z 24-70mm f2.8 S

Color photo. A tall pillar rises up from the bottom of the frame and rises to meet a lattice at the top. A ring of golden light is present near the top as well.
