More Colorado, and Pike's Peak

Heading down, from the summit at 14,100 feet altitude. The engineer's view (and an aspiring engineer), down the mountain in one of the world's first & longest cog train runs.

I found some oldfavorites that were part of my Google + collection. The boy gazing out was the title shot.

More to come, but adding to a new album of old collecion (but fresh as new on 'film'!).

A young boy has his hands on the windshield in front of him, at the front of a cog rail train heading down the Rocky Mountains from Pike's Peak. Most of the center is the boy from behind, in a fuzzy blue sweater, mostly in silhouette, as there is a bright day in front of him, with the cog tracks ahead, grass (and marmots) off to the right, and mountains straight ahead, headed down.. View of a red cog train heading up the Rocky Mountains (Front) towards Pike's Peak. Behind the approaching train are mountains, and before it and behind, are the cog tracks, including the track-switch that this one is waiting at, as our cog train heads downward, at which point the other train will switch to the track to the top.
