Earthquake Rehab

This steel frame was added to prevent building collapse during an earthquake.

A one story brick telephone equipment building has an external steel frame built around it to help prevent its collapse during an earthquake. Charleston is only about 25 miles from New Madrid where the largest earthquakes in this part of the US occurred more than 200 years ago.
