Often, when I share over-excited posts about Unsplash stats, a recurring question pops up: How much did you get paid?
Of course, they already know the answer. More often than not, it’s absolutely nothing. For two reasons, they’re somewhat missing the point.

I've always felt this way about Flickr as well. There was a time back in the day where you'd see your images pop up all over the internet. There was no problem letting folks use images for blogs or other articles.
It felt like Flickr was a free shared library of images to use for other people creating online.
I can see Unsplash being the "new" Flickr for this case. Maybe I should start posting there as well.
