Larger photo dump coming later today. I finally found tone to go visit McConnells Mill. Absolutely beautiful place tucked away in the Pennsylvania countryside. Lots of hills in this part PA and little gorges cut by dozens of streams. Definitely worth the trip.
More photos from today's trip to McConnells Mill. This is the dam and spillway, and a shot of the mill itself. I hadn't realized how deep of a valley this park is located in. You turn off what looks like any other country road in Pennsylvania and go straight down a rocky embankment with lots of ruts in the road. The amount of water flowing here is party incredible, too. Great spot for a mill, except I don't imagine that it was fun bringing carts of grain down to it way back when it was built.
