CERTOSA DI PAVIA: VEDUTA DAL CHIOSTRO PICCOLO

https://fotografia.cultura.gov.it/iccd/item/FFC022331

The image is a sepia-toned postcard featuring an old photograph of the Certosa di Pavia, specifically from its Cloister Piccolo. The main focus shows an expansive cloister with rows of arches and columns on either side. Architectural details such as domes, towers, and statues can be seen in the background, suggesting a historical or religious significance to the location. A person is present near the right edge of the image, wearing what appears to be early 20th-century clothing, which suggests that this photograph may have been taken during that era. The postcard has text at its top left corner indicating "Certosa di Pavia," and a handwritten note on the bottom right mentions "Veduta del Chiostro piccolo." This indicates it's providing both visual context as well as identifying information about the scene depicted. The overall condition of the photograph suggests age, with some wear visible in the corners. The postcard itself is framed by black borders at its top and left edges,
