This was preceded by the bank closing their account and keeping their funds.

I, too, am speechless in a way that I can not describe openly.
Instead, I'll say that I recently applied a blocklist of maybe nine hundred Fediverse accounts as a proactive step to avoid abuse.
@anneroth@systemli.social I'll admit I didn't know about them until now, but 25 years is a damn long time. That was sustained, and for the duration sustainable, action. It sounds like there's a lot to be learned from it, from what worked. I'll have to figure out how to learn about it in depth.

Apart from the extremely vague "The possibility that our work may cause legal and financial consequences to those who are close to us". Isn't that true for everything we do? There must be a heightened threat?
