@kde@floss.social I still remember Matthias' announcement back in the days.
Has always been my favorite despite the ups and downs and rough edges through the times :)

@kde@floss.social Gratulations! Thanks to you, and of course many other projects, I was able to switch out a lot of proprietary software in our household. A heartfelt thank you to everyone working on your numerous projects! A special shoutout to #digiKam which is a boon for my photography workflow.

@kde@floss.social damn! Now I too feel old.
My first Linux install already came with KDE. "Corel Linux OS 1.0", back in 99 or 2000.
(1.0 I'd guess?)

@kde@floss.social THANKS A LOT for all this years of freedom!!
Said with my KDE user hat since 15 ago!!
Installed openSUSE+KDE 15 years ago and never looked back since then in my personal devices! (miniPC and Laptops).
Hope that KDE community soon freed my mobile device!

First up: Plasma 6.8 - 30th Anniversary Edition is here!
https://kde.org/announcements/plasma/6/6.8.0/
And it comes packed with new stuff.
Among other cool things, a new and improved remote desktop system, which is more performant comes with an exclusivity mode and shared clipboard; more calendars and keyboards for more cultures and languages; and better accessibility and usability features.
