During my recent adventures in , where I have been riding my bike and photographing with the tiny OM System TG-7, I began to wonder if I could use it for more creative, experimental images.
While the RAW files from the tiny sensor needed a lot of work before I was happy with them, the answer is yes.
Here I used the TG-7 to record abstract reflections on the surface of a large pond on a dull, grey day with little light or contrast.

Abstract black and white image taken with an OM System Tough TG-7 pocket camera and showing the dark reflections of tree branches reflecting on the rippled surface of a large pond, where the movement of the wind-blown water has created abstract, dancing patterns out of the reflections. I have been riding my bike around the city to find scenes to photograph with my OM System Tough TG-7.
I'm calling it and I'm keen to do more of it.
The Pros: Fitness (Glasgow is hilly!), mental health, broader horizons, freedom, saving money and reducing carbon emissions.
The Cons: Rain, inconsiderate drivers, buses, missing scenes because I have to concentrate on the roads, bike security when stopping to make images.
The pros far outweigh the cons.

Two people pause to take phone photos on the grand steps of the Hunterian Museum at Glasgow University. Sunlight through a tall, decorative window illuminates the railings on the upper floor, while small ornate lamps at the foot of the first flight cast a soft glow. Looking upward toward soft, white clouds in a dark blue sky, beneath the three ornate leaded windows of the Glasgow University chapel. Ornate, swirling golden patterns etched on a restaurant window which is reflecting the stone tenement building across the road in Finnieston. A gran reads out loud to her grandson while sitting on a bench in the sunshine in Glasgow's Botanic Gardens
