Me: "I want to learn German."

Them: "Why would you do that? Don't bother!"

Me: "Because I spend half my time on the Fediverse clicking on the 'Translate' button."

I can't help it if so many of the awesome accounts I follow are in German. And I want to be able to understand their messages without clicking on 'Translate' 50+ times a day. Plus this way I would understand / could attend ALL the talks at Berlin #FediDay.

I'm putting this here so that people hold me accountable 😅🤗

Back home - and I don’t feel like removing the Berlin #FediDay bracelets quite yet… 🥲

Plus the “mamma” bracelet above the “hacking” one is super badass IMHO

I've been quiet around here as I'm putting the finishing touches to my presentation for Berlin #FediDay (happening this Saturday!!!)

Fun fact: while doing research for slides I came upon an AMAZING discovery that I hope I can mention in my presentation. Very very good news (sorry for being a tease, but I need to ask permission first!)

Awww Berlin #FediDay is almost here. I'm super super honored and excited to speak there next Saturday.
