the old beachcomber
leaving no footprints
in the sand

Whistling wind combeth
not his graying locks

there's always room
for another seashell
in his tattered boat bag

If no one hears the whistling
Of the conch in the bag...
Walking out at low tide

crowding the sand flat
an argument among plovers

Wander among them
The sailor's vague memory
Unseen and hardly felt
