Sphinx is a former backyard feral I'd been feeding daily for over a year. Spayed and vaccinated about a year ago at age of four months through TNR as denoted by clipped ear. Yay, Trap-Neuter-Release!
She lived in the back yard, greeted me every time I opened the door, came daily for breakfast, looked on as I closed the curtain at night. She climbed onto my lap, asked me to pet her, rolled on her back on the ground.
One morning she did not come for breakfast. I felt sick, fearing her injured, hurt, or dead. Raccoons, opossums, other cats, roam freely at night, I'd heard nightly screams and yowls.
It was time to bring her inside.
She was confined to the bathroom for a few days until I could get a vet appointment. Bathroom provided a space where her fleas could not spread.
Vet gave her a clean bill of health and prescription for fleas which are now taken care of.
Let the introductions to the three resident cats begin!
