I didn't have eclipse glasses, so was just watching on my phone and camera screens - the lens flare artifact showed the slowly eclipsing sun!

(My neighbours showed up near the peak, and they HAD eclipse glasses!

They were kind enough to share..

Dark village and trees, under an over-exposed orange white sun low in the sky. The lens flare has a tiny crescent artifact - the reversed, partially eclipsed sun!

Very eerie lighting at 95%

Between talking w neighbour, sharing the glasses and being jumped on by their dogs, I'd stopped taking photos - and forgot to take one through the glasses film.

Hey, there's always next August - another total eclipse in southern Spain!

(tiny white crescent is my camera lens - shows the eclpse reversed)

Near 95% eclipse of the sun - a tiny white crescent hovers over the darkened trees, artefact from my camera lens. The sky is dull blue orange, the lighting harsh - very eerie and unlike proper dusk.
