Thought I would play the old Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on my Switch1, but I first have to deal with biblical levels of greed from Nintendo.

Nintendo Online subscription that costs 40 euro's a year. Mind you, this is like the 4th year I've been paying, so I've already paid €160 (382 bomblocat guilders!) just for access to this game. The OG game used to cost about €71 in 1998 (aka 149 guilders for the graftakken amongst us)

This is my 4th year of paying €40 for Nintendo Online, just for this game. That's €160. For reference, the game as a cartridge cost about €71 originally 😐

Ugh the subscription economy sucks.

A screenshot of Zelda Ocarina of Time, right when Link is being warned for "the shadows of monsters that hang from the ceiling" aka Dead Hand
