He wears a light shirt with rolled-up sleeves, dark trousers, and a characteristic flat cap with a short brim. A white-and-red armband is visible on his upper arm, one of the most recognizable symbols of the Warsaw insurgents. A dark strap, probably from a bag or part of his equipment, runs diagonally across his chest.
The man is captured in motion, as if he has just stopped and turned toward the photographer. He looks directly into the lens with a serious, slightly surprised expression. His figure stands out strongly against the dark entrance of an old tenement building. Behind him are tall wooden doors set deep into the façade, partly hidden in shadow.
