A boat rather than a ship for #SchiffsSamstag but who cares? This was from 2014 and a long weekend spent in Kent, based at Margate, but this was from the shore at Deal where we stopped on the way back from visiting Dover Castle and the cliffs.

A portrait orientation shot taken on a bright, sunny day with a few patches of puffy white cloud in the deep blue sky. We're looking out to sea over a short ridge of a short beach of shingles. The water is flat to the horizon and of a colour that suggests the water is shallow. On the beach there are railway sleepers arranged to form a slightly haphazard path towards the water. Near the water's edge, on the sleepers and raised slightly on curved runners to allow for movement over the wooden beams, there is a small pleasure or fishing boat facing inland. Its hull is white with red accent colours on the edges and the hull has a nameplate reading "Morning Haze" on either side of the prow. On the deck there's a bridge area in red with glass windows all around for a clear view. Spotlights are mounted on the bridge and on a small mast sticking from the top around which there is a Union Flag hanging limply due to the lack of any wind.
