@simon_brooke@mastodon.scot austerity doesn’t pass any economic sniff test. It’s obvious nonsense: the reason it was picked up was because the politicians really wanted it. The resulting rise of fascism was also predictable so they’re either utterly stupid or it was a desired outcome.

And what a write-up - much of it we already knew (Baker, Javid, Sunak, and their links to the crash, both globally, and here in the UK), but that bit about the Excel spreadsheet - ye gods and little fishes, how could that get past any sort of review or editing process?
