A sleeping black-headed gull perched on a pebble area with water behind.

A ruddy turnstone preening among rocks and seaweed beside water. The bird stands with its back to us and head tucked in as it preens. Its back is mottled brown and its under areas light grey coloured.

A painted lady butterfly perched feeding on pink buddleja flowers. The butterfly faces to the left, with its wings spread out, black, orange and white on the tops.

A feral pigeon seen slightly from above as it stands against a dark background. The bird is mostly grey, with black tail feathers, and vibrant green and purple around its neck. Its eyes are orange coloured.
