I’m on vacation but I can’t skip my monthly tribute to Luna! August’s full moon is the Sturgeon Moon, also known by Indigenous names like the Black Cherry Moon (Assiniboine), the Joyful Moon (Hopi), the Plum Moon (Shawnee), the Mountain Shadows Moon (Tlingit), and the Moon When Young Ducks Fly (Cree). Last night’s moon seen here is ALMOST full; it’ll be full tonight, coinciding with a lunar eclipse. I’ll do my best to catch it.🤞🏽
