Diptyque sur fond noir de deux photographies en format vertical en couleurs, présentant pour la première l'éclipse presque totale de la lune, juste derrière la lanterne d'un ancien phare, et pour la seconde, la pleine lune, quelques instants après son lever, qui semble passer entre les tours d'une cathédrale,. Cette seconde photo a été prise depuis une rue en pente dont on perçoit les façades des maisons du côté gauche de celle-ci. Sur la première photo, la couleur de la lune est plutôt rouge du fait de l'ombre de l'éclipse, alors que sur la seconde photo, la lune est plutôt orangée, encore dans les basses couches de l'atmosphère mais elle va vite virer vers le jaune habituel.

At 5 :15 AM the partial lunar eclipse covering approximately half of the moon. At 6:23 AM the moon was almost obscured by the eclipse and took on a reddish hue.

Belle pleine lune éclipsée à + de 96%, derrière le second phare de Penmarc'h ce matin.

J'espère que mon rendez-vous de ce soir, avec encore la pleine lune, entre les deux tours de la cathédrale Saint-Corentin sera aussi propice que derrière le phare…

Photographie en couleur de format portrait, vertical, présentant la pleine lune, lors d'une éclipse à plus de 96 %, avec sa couleur ocre caractéristique de l'évènement, juste derrière la coupole d'un ancien phare qui n'est plus en activité, mais est toujours discrètement mis en lumière à l'intérieur. Un petit nuage met en valeur clair de lune avec encore par ailleurs quelques étoiles visibles en cette fin de nuit.

I’m on vacation but I can’t skip my monthly tribute to Luna! August’s full moon is the Sturgeon Moon, also known by Indigenous names like the Black Cherry Moon (Assiniboine), the Joyful Moon (Hopi), the Plum Moon (Shawnee), the Mountain Shadows Moon (Tlingit), and the Moon When Young Ducks Fly (Cree). Last night’s moon seen here is ALMOST full; it’ll be full tonight, coinciding with a lunar eclipse. I’ll do my best to catch it.🤞🏽

An almost-full waxing gibbous moon at 99% illumination, with visible crater details, against a black sky. Shot on an iPhone 15 attached to an 8-inch aperture Dobsonian reflector telescope.
