@Chris@mast.social There's a point on Lake Huron when you travel between the thumb and the north western shore where you lose sight of land. That was scary when I first did it in 2021. And of course, if you travel straight across the middle of Lake Michigan, you lose sight of land, too. Not to mention cell phone service. Definitely like an ocean!
