Was looking at redosier dogwood (Cornus sericea) berries, was visited by this crane fly

A cluster of round white dogwood berries droops down amid the bush's oval green leaves. There is a dead leaf on the ground, turning bright yellow. The leaf and berry stems are a somber red, which gets brighter in winter.

A pale tan crane fly has landed on a green dogwood leaf. It has very long legs that reach out beyond its translucent, golden, veined wings, balancing it in the middle. Its body is long and looks very fragile.
