💻 OS: #Linux
📱 MobileOS: #GrapheneOS
💬 Social & Chat: #Mastodon , #Pixelfed , #Loops , #SimpleX , #Deltachat
📧 Core Workspace: @Tutanota@mastodon.social for E2E encrypted mail, calendar, and contacts (with an E2EE drive on the way!)
@Tutanota@mastodon.social so far tutamail rocks specially with custom domain option, when the drive launches can replace workspaces like google and office365
@yaqubpk@mastodon.social @Tutanota@mastodon.social I'll wait a bit for graphene, buying from google for the sole purpose of this OS is not worth. And while it is coming next year to motorola, it'll be flagship only and paying 1200$+ for a phone doesn't seem right. LineageOS it is for now!
@yaqubpk@mastodon.social @Tutanota@mastodon.social I need to figure out what I want to do with FOSS phones when I need a new phone. I have seen some good looking options like the FairPhone or PinePhone, but I am not sure how well they work with carriers.
Thank you all for boosting the toot
@yaqubpk@mastodon.social @Tutanota@mastodon.social It is GNU/Linux, not Linux. Linux is solely the kernel, while GNU/Linux is the complete free software operating system.
Also do not use the terms 'Open Source' and 'alternative'. Free software is far more than about just privacy; it is about freedom and our control over our own computing. Proprietary software is unethical and unjust, and should not exist, making the word 'alternative' unsuitable for this scenario. Please use 'free software' and 'replacement' instead.
@yaqubpk@mastodon.social Thanks for choosing Tuta Mail! 😊
