Weren’t there a bunch of “circus clowns” in charge as the Roman Empire collapsed & died … incidentally for many of the same reasons that the current US imperium is dying a death?
Happily the Roman clowns didn’t have nuclear weapons! Our clowns might yet destroy humanity … but Mother Earth would probably breathe a sigh of relief & set about spending the next few millennia recovering from the damage done by humanity!
