As the new season starts at Hugh’s Room Live, here’s a highlight from last season: the incredible Jimmy Webb - singing, telling tales, and singing MacArthur Park with Pete Mancini.

Jimmy Webb, head facing sjyward, sings at the grand piano. Jimmy, looking like he is channeling Orsen Welles, tells a tale of his father, a WWII marine turned Baptist minister. Jimmy speaks of the stories behind his songs and the times he has had. Jimmy plays the piano with Pete Mancini on guitar. I know they are playing MacArthur Park because I saved the green backdrop lights for the sweet green icing flowing down.
