Kora Zinfandel from Caffinary (Washed)

Another one from Caffinary. From the same general region with the same processing.

The beans had a slight amount of chaff, and smelled floral, fermenty. The brew had wine-like acidity, tasted boozy with some fermentation notes. Minor bitterness too. I usually avoid this sort of flavour profile but it tasted fine nonetheless.

Maison Mahua from Caffinary (Washed)

After the disappointment of the previous three(!!!) coffees, I was hoping for some sort of a palate cleanser.

The coffee beans had a good amount of chaff to them. The brew had notes of spices, vanilla with some mellow acidity. There was some minor bitterness as well, but tolerable. Not bad.
