This "Illuminated Deer" - a created by the Swiss sculptor - dreams in the twilight on the Uetliberg near .

A half-rear view of a large street lamp. It is shaped like a stag and decorated with small, colourful mosaic tiles. Its four-pointed antlers are crowned by four glass balls. The light bulbs inside cast a soft glow into the blue twilight. A couple of green twigs stretch into the picture from the left. A dreamy, almost fairy-tale atmosphere.

The ruins of a Buzludzha, a communist monument perched atop an icy mountain in Bulgaria.

I was lucky enough to visit before work began and photograph it in its abandoned state. The climb in was very dangerous; I almost gave up but was so pleased I conquered my fears!

A snow-covered mountain scene features two large communist monuments. In the foreground are two metallic torch sculptures, while the Buzludzha Monument and its tower are visible on a distant hill.
