Composite picture linking two eras: on the left is a black and white Edwardian era postcard showing the west door of Fakenham Church, and on the right a colour picture taken by me yesterday afternoon of the self same door.

The left half of this image is a black and white Edwardian era postcard showing the west door of Fakenham Church, the right half is a picture taken by me yesterday of the self same door. In each case empty mounts for statues on either side of the door are visible, as is the stonework motif above the door and some of the transom window above that. The door itself has been replaced sometime in the last 120 odd years, which is the main difference.
