Priester met bord met demonstratieleus, Parijs, Ed van der Elsken, 1950

http://www.rijksmuseum.nl/en/collection/RP-F-2019-298-26-97

The image depicts a black and white photograph of an individual holding a sign. The person appears to be wearing religious attire, specifically what looks like clerical clothing associated with Catholic clergy, including a cassock, a biretta (a type of hat), and possibly spectacles. They are standing in front of a metal fence or gate that has intricate designs on it. The individual is holding up a large sign horizontally; the text on the sign reads "NOUS DEMANDONS LA RÉFORME DU HAUT CLERGÉ FRANÇAIS" which translates to "WE ARE DEMANDING REFORM OF THE HIGH FRENCH CLERGY." This suggests that the person may be involved in or supporting a movement for clerical reforms. The photograph has been reproduced as part of an album, with additional information about it found at Priester met bord met demonstratieleus, Parijs by Ed van der Elsken from 1950 on images.loener.nl.
