Altro...Entryway of the Zell Apartments (1940) in Denver's Uptown neighborhood with a late Art Deco design consisting of cream-colored stone panels arranged into a large rectangular surround with fluted vertical bands. The prominent feature of the entry is definitely the building name "THE ZELL" in a striking Art Deco/Streamline Moderne typeface. The simple door is framed by two glass-block sidelights, and the traditional ceramic urns on either side of the steps adds a touch of classical warmth into the modernist composition.
