A walk through a sun-dappled forest in late spring, "Giant's Toes", Sleeping Giant State Park, Hamden, Connecticut. May 20, 2024, 3:04 PM.

Beneath a soft blue sky we are walking through a sun-dappled forest in late spring. The canopy overhead is approaching full coverage, but the leaves are still the vibrant emerald green of springtime. The forest floor is carpeted with lush green grass and a few small green leafy shoots. A patchwork of soft shadows and golden sunlight plays across it.
