Now, whilst looking at this photo, I realised that my wife’s face is actually in the picture too, it’s just a bit harder to make out ..
And we also discovered that our favourite coffee bar serves delicious cocktails later in the day or in the evening ...
This summer we were back in Italy and also spent about a week in Bologna.
It’s almost become an annual tradition.
And when I travel, I always take far too many cameras with me.
Especially now, at a time when I sometimes question the point of my analogue photography...
What for, and for whom ?
But on arriving in Bologna, I did end up rediscovering one of my oldest camera companions,
my Canon A1, loaded with a roll of Kodak 400 Ultramax
Mainly to see if I could find a bit of joy in taking photos just for the fun of it.
Something I did notice whilst wearing my A1 round my neck on walks around town... The camera is really heavy to have round your neck all the time!
And I haven’t mentioned it yet, but Bologna was absolutely sweltering in early August!
