Twee zwarte lijsten met donkergrijze passe-partout met daarin, wit omrand, twee zelfportretten van Erwin Olaf, achter een struik gefotografeerd. Erwin Olaf heeft een trui aan, heeft lang haar, een snor en een baard en een zuurstofmasker in zijn neus.Op de linkerfoto kijkt hij ons doordringend aan. De rechter foto is identiek maar daar hij hij zijn beide ogen gesloten. Beide foto's maken een grote impact in de wetenschap dat hij door zijn longziekte niet meer lang heeft te leven.
