For #SchiffsSamstag here's P&O Cruises Azura in Split, Croatia in 2023. She's a Grand-class ship - our favourite class; not too big, not too small - and ships of P&O, Princess, and now Carnival in Australia operate ships of this type.

It's a hot, sunny day with barely a cloud in the sky and those only in the distance as a small streak over the horizon. We're standing on the hard surface of a commercial port where we would be able to see out across a fairly calm blue sea to a strip of land were it not for a cruise ship obstructing much of the view. The ship is tied up alongside with its bow pointing towards us and to the left, and we're approaching it as are a number of people ahead of us. The ship's hull is largely white but the bow has a stylised form of the Union Flag painted on it, wrapping around the curved, pointing form. We can see a stack of decks rising up towards the middle and aft of the ship and at the front the glass-fronted bridge extends out past the width of the vessel to allow the officers full views either side.
