Потому что слаб? Потому что нет ресурсов? Или потому что твои соперники сильнее, популярнее и умнее.
Запрещать социальные сети много ума не нужно, но это лишь способ расписаться в собственной слабости и поражении.

Если ты действительно хороший президент, у тебя честная поддержка, боты и фейки могут размыть её, но целиком обнулить твои заслуги перед избирателями которые знают тебя лично не сможет ни одно иностранное влияние. Нужно просто не бояться собственного народа.

Only problem I got with Lula are his close ties with the mass murderer Putin and his uninformed view on #Ukraine. People across the world must unite against dangerous authoritarians like Putin & Trump, that are waging war and propagating hatred & corruption. #Brazil

@eliasulrich@hachyderm.io - I’m not even remotely Brazilian, however I very much just about every nation ought to be putting up rules and regulations. Digitial Platforms (not just social media) have way more power and influence than they should. Both in the physical and virtual world (which are slowly becoming the same thing)

Acho que aqui estamos misturando duas questões diferentes: a interferência estrangeira e o poder das grandes plataformas sobre a informação.
@devstorm está certo: simplesmente banir as redes sociais seria mais uma confissão de fraqueza. Mas o apoio sincero dos eleitores não torna a sociedade totalmente imune a bots, manipulação e algoritmos que decidem o que as pessoas sequer vão ver.
Por isso, a regulação deve atingir a infraestrutura da influência — publicidade política, bots, algoritmos opacos, concentração da mídia e financiamento de campanhas — e não as opiniões das pessoas. Como observou @GhostOnTheHalfShell, medidas antitruste também são regulação.
A frase sobre empresas pagarem impostos e tentarem influenciar eleições realmente ficou ambígua. O ponto não é permitir que elas influenciem eleições, mas impedir que façam isso de forma opaca e sem responsabilidade. O objetivo não é controlar cada opinião, e sim tornar essa influência visível e sujeita a regras públicas.
