"Reclining Nude"

An upright knee and thigh cast a soft fuzzy shadow on the nearby wall. Only the shadow is visible.

I love the shapes that fall out when things get cracks.

#art #abstraction #photography

An area of a cement sidewalk with many cracks running over it forming a pleasing abstract composition. All grays, though it is a color photograph. The image has been manipulated for presentation and is not just a snapshot. I crop and clone out distractions and balance tones as I see fit. Square image with an off-white mat around it.

An area of asphalt with many cracks in black and white. The image has been inverted so that the cracks are white instead of black.

Here's your Sunday morning moment of #Zen

#art #abstraction #photography

Some dark wavy lines made by spilling paint on a sidewalk, looking straight down at them. There is an expansion seam in the sidewalk the bisects the frame vertically, right in the center. The wavy lines follow similar paths from the one side to the other, while diverging from each other but echoing each other's form. It is a monochrome image, black and white.
