Feeds three. About seven dollars. Ten minutes, one pan, no boiling water at all.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium. Gnocchi straight from the package — shelf-stable, two dollars — and then leave it alone for four minutes until the bottoms blister gold. Toss. Two minutes more. Garlic, then a handful of frozen peas straight from the bag. Lemon off the heat, pepper, whatever hard cheese you've got.
Seven ingredients. The browning does everything a sauce would otherwise have to do.
Nobody should end a week like this one standing in front of an open refrigerator deciding they're not hungry enough to bother.
