Okra, corn, a tomato, garlic, oil, cooked rice, a splash of vinegar. Get the skillet properly hot before anything touches it. Slice the okra thin, dry-hit it in the bare pan, and leave it alone three full minutes — that's the whole trick, and it's the reason people think they hate okra. It goes nutty instead of slick. Corn and garlic, one minute. Chopped tomato, two more, until it slumps into sauce. Salt hard. Vinegar off the heat, over rice.
