Close-up view of the twin domed churches near Trajan's Forum in Rome, Italy, photographed on 17 October 2026. On the left stands Santa Maria di Loreto, with its large weathered dome, circular windows and elaborate Renaissance lantern. To the right rises the Church of the Most Holy Name of Mary, featuring a slightly smaller dome and an elegant Baroque lantern. Their pale stone façades and sculptural details stand out beneath a dramatic blue sky filled with textured white and grey clouds, highlighting the architectural harmony between two churches built centuries apart.

Vittoriano or Altare della Patria. Again, city centre of Rome

@foto@diggita.com

Low-angle view of the Monument to Victor Emmanuel II, also known as the Vittoriano or Altare della Patria, in Rome, Italy, photographed on 17 October 2026. The monumental bronze equestrian statue of King Victor Emmanuel II dominates the foreground, standing on an elaborate white marble pedestal decorated with sculpted figures. Above it, a winged Victory drives a bronze quadriga along the roofline of the monument. The pale marble architecture and green-patinated bronze sculptures contrast dramatically with a blue sky filled with sweeping grey and white clouds.
