Shadows are cast across a door from a 19th century house in the French Quarter. "Keep off steps" is inscribed and painted just below the door. A less than secure looking front door on a very old house in the French Quarter. The door has some simple sculptural relief on is and a window shade that looks like a brick wall is hanging in the glass, but it is much too long for the glass and is haphazardly folded upon itself at the bottom. The transom up top reads 1310 Chartres.

the remnants of a bicycle, still chained to a metal pole at street's edge, lies on the sidewalk. Gone are the wheels, handlebars, and seat. Rust is taking over the rest.
