'Ecken und Kanten'

Z 7_2 | 24 mm | f/9 | 1/320 | ISO 160 | 12.04.2026

A weathered grave stone lies flat on the ground, partially covered by grass. The stone has a rough texture with patches of lichen and moss. It is surrounded by green grass and a few small yellow flowers.

A vertical, centered photograph captures a heavily weathered, distressed white panel door standing upright in a lush green grassy field. The door, with its peeling paint and exposed raw wood, is positioned directly facing the viewer, isolated from any building. The dark brass hardware (keyhole surround) is visible on the right side of the central panel. The background is composed of dense, sun-dappled foliage and mature trees, creating a soft, organic backdrop. The light is natural and diffused.

Day 226

+

A close-up of the porthole window on the door from yesterday's Doorsday photo. I already didn't want to leave the house today and then I got a bollocking from some cranky old man about taking this photo. fml Remember my motto kids: It's always safe under the blankie. When in doubt, stay in bed.

Close-up of a vintage round brass porthole window with a hinge and screw bolt lock. The weathered, oxidised metal is set into a deep purple paneled door. The reflection of townhouses, ship masts, and tree branches can be seen in the porthole glass.

A waymarker post for Llwybr Cadfan (Cadfan's Way) for from today's outing with the doggos.

We went for a quick one today so that Brody could join us. He's been getting a little bit miffed when we have to leave him behind for the big hikes so we did a special short, flat one for him today. He was a star! ⭐

We weren't walking this trail today, just happened along some of it as it intersects with the church we visited on our ramble, but it's an interesting 128-mile pilgrimage route tracing the 6th century path of Saint Cadfan.

https://pererin.com/en/routes/llwybr-cadfan

A heavily weathered wooden waymarker post with a small, red round trail emblem reading "Pererin" around the top and "Llwybr Cadfan" (Cadfan's Way) curving along the bottom with an image of a coracle (a traditional Welsh rounded boat) in the centre. A wire gate is attached to the left of the post and it sits against a traditional stone wall. In the background, a field with shrubs and trees in varying shades of green and orange sits under a bright blue sky with a couple of wispy clouds.

Weathered Vendors, Unwavering Duty

A row of weathered Japanese vending machines stands under a retro shop canopy showing signs of age. Glowing softly with colourful beverages inside, these quiet machines dutifully serve passers-by. Set against rustic textures and muted urban tones, the scene evokes a nostalgic yet reassuring atmosphere of everyday reliability in a quiet corner.
