A wodden door the right side, a van parked under a tree on the left. New living area with modern houses at the Reichelstrasse. Two signs let you know that dogs have to be leashed. And that they are forbidden to poo here. A sign saying „No bulky waste. Violations will be reported.“ Next to the sign: A lot of bulky waste. Rock n Roll! Color your neighborhood. Analog black snd white photo of a wall with Ginnheim Graffitti. Also the coat of arms of Ginnheim, a horseshoe with stripes in the background, is sprayed there. Behind the wall windows and balconies of an apartment house, build in the late 80s, can be seen. Brutalism at its best: the corner of a huge apartment house (the same as shown in the shot before). On the ground level is an entrance to a supermarket. A huge „Rewe“ sign is above the entrance door. A huge „Ginnheim“ sign at the metro station. For some its the end of the line, for some the start. A grill stand under the bridge of Rosa-Luxemburg-Street. Its „Roschans Grill“, selling fries, burger and grilled chicken at that spot since the early 90s.

📍 Ginnheimer Mühlgasse. Eine der kleinen Gassen des alten Ortskerns, der zahlreiche Neubauten erfahren hat. Einige sehr wenige Überbleibsel der „alten Zeit“ sind aber noch zu finden.

📍 Trinkhalle unweit der Haltestelle Ginnheim Mitte.

In Frankfurt nennt man sie „Wasserhäuschen“. Ein Kiosk, der die Nachbarschaft auch außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten von Supermärkten versorgt: Wasser, Limonade, Saure Gurken, Bier, Apfelwein, Kippen und Schnaps. All die Dinge, die man fürs Überleben eben braucht.

On the roof is a sign with the inscription „Trinkhalle“ (translated „drinking hall“, which totaly kills the spirit of that word). In Frankfurt they are called „Wasserhäuschen“ („little water house“). The same subject as before, but with the camera held horizontally. Now a large umbrella can be seen to the left of the kiosk, under which there are benches. Two men sitting there, enjoying their cold brew.
