Analog black snd white photo of a wall with Ginnheim Graffitti. Also the coat of arms of Ginnheim, a horseshoe with stripes in the background, is sprayed there. Behind the wall windows and balconies of an apartment house, build in the late 80s, can be seen. Brutalism at its best: the corner of a huge apartment house (the same as shown in the shot before). On the ground level is an entrance to a supermarket. A huge „Rewe“ sign is above the entrance door. A huge „Ginnheim“ sign at the metro station. For some its the end of the line, for some the start. A grill stand under the bridge of Rosa-Luxemburg-Street. Its „Roschans Grill“, selling fries, burger and grilled chicken at that spot since the early 90s.

📍 Trinkhalle unweit der Haltestelle Ginnheim Mitte.

In Frankfurt nennt man sie „Wasserhäuschen“. Ein Kiosk, der die Nachbarschaft auch außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten von Supermärkten versorgt: Wasser, Limonade, Saure Gurken, Bier, Apfelwein, Kippen und Schnaps. All die Dinge, die man fürs Überleben eben braucht.

In einem Durchgang, der offenbar zu einer U-Bahnstation gehört, geht ein Mann mit heller Hose, hellen Schuhen und dunkler Jacke. Die Wände sind weiß gefliest und teilweise geschwungen. Über dem Mann ist ein kleiner Teil einer dunklen Wand erkennbar. Daran hängt ein Schild – der Anfang der Aufschrift ist erkennbar und lautet „U Dom“. In a passageway that appears to be part of a subway station, a man is walking, wearing light-colored pants, light-colored shoes, and a dark jacket. The walls are tiled white and are partially curved. Above the man, a small section of a dark wall is visible. A sign hangs on it—the beginning of the inscription is legible and reads “U Dom.”

Nix ist!

Mainova oder Netzdienste Rhein-Main sind sparsam mit der LED Beleuchtung. Dabei ist dieses Umspannwerk ein zeitloses Bauwerk und ein echter Hingucker. Mehr dazu in einem alten Trööt.

Farbiges Querformat. Dreistöckiges Gebäude an einer Straße bei Nacht. Die großen Fenster sind bunt erleuchtet.
