I can’t get out and bushwalk anymore - so I took a photo with my phone of this Clivia flower about to open in the border under the eaves of the flats next door. Clivias are a lily, which likes shade - except they need a bit of sun to flower!

I wish this was a slightly sharper photograph but the lily flower was moving slightly in the breeze (the hoverfly was holding steady). Still a decent

I wish this was a slightly sharper photograph but the lily flower was moving slightly in the breeze (the hoverfly was holding steady). Still a decent macro effort from me at the time as I was learning.
Taken July 2013.

Macro photo of a hoverfly on the very end of the stigma of a stargazer lily flower. The large red/orange anthers of the flower are seen on either side with the bright pink of the petals in the background.
