The majestic Sverd I fjell on the beach near Stavanger.

The three monumental bronze swords of Sverd i fjell (“Swords in Rock”) rise from the rocky shore of Hafrsfjord near Stavanger, Norway. Photographed from below, the enormous weathered blades dominate the frame against a clear blue spring sky, with the calm fjord and green landscape visible behind them. The tallest sword represents the victorious King Harald Fairhair, while the two smaller swords symbolize the defeated kings.
