This is a grungy black and white street photo in landscape format of traffic and roadside market on a busy suburban street in New Delhi, India (2013). In the centre of the photo and dominating the middle is an scratched and bashed auto rickshaw often called a Tuk-Tuk, Tukxi or Bajaj. It's a three wheeled small car with the driver sitting in the centre and front and steering with a motorcycle like handle bar and with a two person bench seat behind. There is a single wheel at the front and two at the back, the sides are open to the elements, the back and roof made from a fabric cover. This is a black and white wildlife photo of the silhouette of a large bird in flight with multiple sunbeams radiating from the sun thats just behind the bird. Angel Island, California (2016). Above and to the left of centre is a Turkey Vulture (Cathartes aura) sometimes called a Buzzard or Turkey Buzzard. The camera is angled upwards into the sky with the bird being viewed from three metres away and filling half the height of the photo. The vulture's in flight from right to left with it's large wings outspread as it soars above a coastal hillside that is out of view below the base of the photo. This is a colour seascape photo in landscape format of four sailing boats at sea minutes after sunset. Redondo Beach, California (2012). The Pacific Ocean rises from the base of the photo to the three-quarters up level. The water is disturbed by the ocean swell and the day's sea breeze creating waves of a metre or two in height. There is a crisp and well defined horizon where the sea meets the clear and cloudless sky, which is a light orange or caramel colour from the sun that has just dipped below the horizon. Below the horizon and extending from the centre and to the right are the four sailing boats that are one hundred metres away from the camera which in turn is a few metres above the sea. All are under full sail and underway from right to left. All have large spinnakers forward of the mast and are filled by the wind. The sails are illuminated by the sky behind and beyond giving them a coffee colour though some of the colours on the spinnakers are still visible.

Cheung Chau Island, Hong Kong (2014). Dominating this photo is our middle-aged Chinese man. He is riding his bike from left to right across the photo, is viewed from two metres away and is filling three-quarters of the height of the image. Traditional green wooden house in Kėdainiai, Lithuania, photographed on 23 July 2025 during a road trip from Rome to Helsinki along the Via Baltica. The house features horizontal timber siding painted deep green, white-framed windows with decorative shutters, two white entrance doors and a steep, weathered reddish-brown metal roof. Old television antennas rise above the building, while a wooden fence supported by red brick pillars borders the property. The quiet cobblestone-paved street and surrounding historic houses evoke the atmosphere of a small Baltic town.

This is a colour photo in landscape format of a coastal ferry leaving harbour and entering a bank of sea fog. Harstad, Norway (2018). Extending from the left edge of the photo diagonally through the centre and towards the right edge is the ferry that dominates the photo. The starboard half of the stern and starboard side are in view with the camera being three metres above the water, ten metres from the stern and angled to the centre of the vessel. The dark and calm waters of the Vågsfjorden rise from the base of the photo to a little less than the half way up level. The camera is set back perhaps fifty metres from the buildings and angled upwards steeply so that the lower floors are hidden below the lower edge of the photo and no other buildings or objects are in view. While there are five blocks: each separate block appears as two blocks that are joined together at a corner. The blocks have a rectangular footprint and are tall and thin. Most of the blocks are viewed so that the thin and long side are in view. This is a black and white water sports photo in landscape format of the rear of a surfboard protruding out of a brilliant white and swirling mass of foaming surf. Hermosa Beach (2014). The entire image is overflowing with the maelstrom of boiling surf from a breaking Pacific wave. The foaming water is brightly lit by the still low morning sun. Below the centre of the photo is the surfboard. The camera is located a few metres above and a few metres away from the board. Only the back and part of the mid section is visible, the remainder is hidden beneath the angry surf. The board is angled downwards towards the lower left corner, with it's edge angled towards the camera so little of the top or bottom surfaces are in view other than the one or two of the shark like fins on the underside of the board.

This is a colour street photo in landscape format of countless patterned red cubes suspended over a city street. New Bridge Road, Singapore (2013). Dominating nearly the entire photo are these multiple, bright red cubes. Each with a gold animal or Chinese character printed on the sides. The camera is located above the street and at the same level as the cubes with most of them being only a few metres away. Each cube is about one metre in all dimensions with them grouped together in their hundreds and suspended from poles or street lights high above the street. The animal pictures repeat numerous times: these include the traditional and compulsory Chinese dragon, Rabbit, Mouse and since it was the year of the Snake, a Snake. A few electric cables can be seen overhead suggesting that the cubes are lit after dark.
