OK, yet another bee-on-flower.. but I'm quite pleased with the 70-300IS + 500D combo. Although it's harder to use, when it works it gives that bit more zoom, and more detail.

This one is a carder bee of some sort - probably a common carder bee but there are others round here which are similar.
