And of course a bee on a flower.. possibly a buff-tailed bumblebee? But very difficult to ID for certain. It's cheekily feeding from the edge of the flower rather than trying to get inside it, which means it's not actually doing the pollination that it should be - the flower is getting cheated of nectar!

A large bumblebee, furry and black with two yellow stripes. it's clinging to a red salvia flower, feeding from the outside base of the flower, rather than inside it.

This is a close-up photograph of a bumblebee ont the purple blossoms of a lavender stalk. The bee has a black and yellow fuzzy body with delicate translucent wings folded along their back. The background is in soft-focus and is blurred. It has warm hues and green shades behind the stem.

a bumblebee mid-flight, with its fuzzy hair, wings, antennae and legs clearly visible, approaching one of a pair of very vividly magenta-coloured flowers, with a yellow centre. they're surrounded by a lot of bright green leaves, illuminated by an overcast sky, with some leftover rain droplets here and there. a different bumblebee mid-flight, again with clearly visible details, approaching another very magenta flower surrounded by leaves. there's also a wilted flower below, and a slightly moist spider web up and to the right. same bumblebee as 2nd photo, but closer to the flower same bumblebee as 3rd photo but now inside the flower, about to land

A close-up shot of a fuzzy bumblebee resting on a tall, upright spike of lavender-purple flowers. Golden late-afternoon sunlight backlights the scene, illuminating the fine hairs of the bee and the delicate, spiky petals of the blossoms. The foreground flower is in sharp focus, while repeating purple floral spires, lush green foliage, and a soft blue sky with wispy clouds blur into a glowing bokeh in the background.
