Labor Day sunset, Scoville Reservoir, Wolcott, Connecticut. September 2, 2019, 7:01 PM.

Standing beside a lake, looking over the tops of several tall and slender leafy shrubs. Dozens of lily pads float in clusters on the lake. There is a small wooded island straight ahead across the water. A low wooded ridge rises above the far shore. All of these land features are silhouetted in the dim light. The setting sun is peaking out from a cloud just above the horizon, tinting The sky is a blaze of yellow, gold and orange, mirrored on the lightly rippled lake below. A small vivid dark pink clouds floats over the island.
