Red sky at night, Lost Ponds, Mattatuck State Forest, Plymouth, Connecticut. June 1, 2021, 8:27 PM.

We are standing beside a pond at a small rocky, mossy break in the surrounding lush green forest. The evening sky is mostly cloudy, with a slim break just along the horizon filled with bright gold and orange sunlight. That break is allowing the recently set sun to tint the bottom of the clouds near the horizon dark pink, almost red. The rest of the clouds are gray with a slight violet tinge.
